Only 36% of Americans rated their mental health as good or excellent, and even fewer, 32%, felt positively about their financial health. Workplace Benefits Deemed Essential

Retirement, in particular, is a top concern for many, with a significant number worried about outliving their savings. Despite being a primary stressor, only half of Americans have a clear understanding of their retirement income needs, and just over a third feel confident in their financial management skills.

Underscoring the importance of workplace benefits, nearly half of Americans surveyed stated they would face financial hardship without them. These benefits, ranging from retirement savings plans to health insurance, play a critical role in supporting financial stability and overall well-being.

The good news is that employers are recognizing the value of these benefits. A significant majority, 74%, acknowledge the importance of addressing and improving their employees’ financial health. This recognition is crucial as it paves the way for employers to implement programs and resources that can help alleviate financial stress and improve the overall well-being of their workforce.

The report’s findings paint a clear picture: Americans are struggling with financial concerns, and these worries have a ripple effect on their mental and physical health.
