The best part about Auckland? You can walk everywhere! The city is filled with beautiful parks, bustling markets, and stunning waterfronts. One of my favorite spots was the Auckland Domain, a massive park perfect for a peaceful stroll or a picnic. And don’t miss the Auckland Art Gallery if you love a bit of culture.
Meeting New People
Traveling alone doesn’t mean being lonely. Aucklanders are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet. Whether you’re chatting with locals at a café or joining a group tour, making new friends is easy. I even joined a free walking tour, which was a great way to learn about the city and meet fellow travelers.
Trying New Things
Solo travel is your chance to step out of your comfort zone. In Auckland, I tried bungee jumping off the Sky Tower – something I never thought I’d do! If that’s too extreme for you, there are plenty of other activities like sailing on the harbor or hiking up Mount Eden for breathtaking views.
