Shake Up in the Top 5

While aespa confidently holds onto the top spot, the rankings saw some interesting movement within the top 5. IVE secures a solid second place, followed closely by LE SSERAFIM, who saw a significant 33.37% increase in their brand reputation index. (G)I-DLE follows in fourth place, enjoying a considerable jump of 56.04%, indicating a surge in their popularity. Rounding out the top 5 is the ever-popular Red Velvet.

The rankings were determined by the Korean Business Research Institute using big data analysis from August 15 to September 15. This data encompasses various factors, including consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes, providing a comprehensive overview of brand reputation. The full list boasts a range of prominent groups such as TWICE, BLACKPINK, Girls’ Generation, and Apink, showcasing the dynamism of the K-Pop landscape.

aespa’s continued success can be attributed to several factors, including the release of their debut studio album, Armageddon, on May 27, 2024. The album was a commercial success, further solidifying their musical impact. Their ongoing tour and recent Japanese debut have also kept them in the spotlight, engaging fans worldwide.

However, one notable omission from the September rankings is NewJeans. Despite their popularity and strong presence in the K-Pop scene, the group was not included in the Top 30. The reason for their absence remains unclear, leaving fans and industry observers curious about the factors influencing these rankings.
